MetaContent Actually metacontent is much more then "hot sauce" or the app we saw demonstrated. The concept is the real thing, the underlying direction that being able to reshape content/data to your own parameters is far more effecting. Look at it this way, human consciousness is amazingly organised, people, inorder to handle the experiences of each day have a complex relational database that requires sleep and dreaming each night to file and link. This process is so fluid and transistional that it allows us to search, categorise and find minuit detail involving all of the senses and our combined emotional affect from those experiences. Remember in Kipling's "Kim" how the boy in training with Lurgen Sahib is taught to quickly categories the items for rapid memorisation. The boy is shown how he can manipulate data to enhance his recall. We naturally associate all things and that association is what makes each of our personal databases powerful but totally unique to each of us. However, the library method of categorisation has occurred as we have had to make compromises and agreements with the world as a whole as to what goes in each category. Dewey's decimal system and Library of Congress have standardised how we academically find and sort things. This in turn influences how we think about things. Metacontent, dissolves the need for compromise and agreement with others and permits the individual the liberty and efficiency of seeing things and categorising them as they naturally link to their needs and emotional responses. You see metacontent is a free form, relational, individuallised method of organising data, information, whatever. I believe that it will overwhelm present institutional and academic systems as it become more a more pervasive. For this reason it will change the way we do things. The main feature of every law office are the case documents neatly bound and lining the walls often of several rooms. With that data on CD or hard drive storage and a hot sauce format connecting and synthesising similarities would take on a much different perspective. Pretty long answer, but the issue is profound, far more encompasing then the software you saw. The concept has been adapted by the Internet as the standard for data organisation, there were no other competing formats. From now on it will grow and flourish and things will be different.
